i swear, one day i will remember to update more than once a quarter. or, conversely, once a year.
i'm still around. i still have ears. i just don't think about blogging as much anymore. i imagine this is what hardcore myspacer's felt like back in the day.

anyhow, i'm on a bit of a glass animal's kick, as in they're all i've managed to listen to in the last two weeks. i'm slightly unapologetic about this fact. why did it take me this long to figure out who they were??? more proof i a) don't get out anymore and b) live under a rock. i blame spotify for being complete shit sometimes.

good evening, folks. we're coming to you live from the backyard-- that's right it's summer and the weather is hot and so am i.
help. i'm melting into a puddle of ick.

shit's hot, yo. and as we break temperature records all around the world, let's remind ourselves to stay cool. and pour one out for our depleting glacial friends and polar ice caps because hey, who needs new york (or new jersey)? california and oregon and like, vancouver... we'll miss you. or, some of us will.

one day, i will be done with school. but until that day, i give you term paper writing playlists because i am nothing if not exemplary at avoiding what i should be doing. i'm also taking german as a third (?) language, so you'll see some unfamiliar titles that i can assure you, i understand about as well as most of you do. ich verstehe nicht.

p.s: can we talk about how much i still love 'the life of pablo'? can we just, for a moment, talk about the perfection, the meta self-awareness that is 'i love kanye?' or how the abstract, masterfully cut 'waves' still makes me want to play it as loud as humanly possible? like that song never peaks for me, it gets under my skin and i just want it to bust but it keeps it down, kinda how imagine kanye keeps his wacky temper down.
god. say what ya'll want about kanye, he still makes good (and conceptually expanding) music. fuck tha hataz

p.p.s: can we also discuss how much i still love lemonade? do i think i'm culturally appropriating the music? i don't even understand how i could do that, but whatever. am i listening it with a feminist/culturally focused mind-set? no? i don't even know-- i think part of the album is about infidelity, and i don't think that has a race. can i still enjoy it for an album? yeah, and i do. a year out, and this thing is still rocking.
