no longer, no longer what you ask.
strange steps-- heels turn black.
the cinders the cinders they light the path--
strange steps take us back, take us back.
flow sweetly, hang heavy.
you suddenly complete me, you suddenly complete me.
flow sweetly, hang heavy.
you suddenly complete me, you suddenly complete me.
oh, oh, ay, oh, oh, ay
hysteric.
oh, oh, ay, oh, oh, ay
hysterical.
no wonder no wonder, other half.
strange steps, heels turn black.
the cinders they splinter and light the path--
these strange steps traces us back, trace us back.
flow sweetly, hang heavy.
you suddenly complete me, you suddenly complete me.
flow sweetly, hang heavy.
you suddenly complete me, you suddenly complete me.
hysteric, hysteric, hysteric, hysteric, hysteric hysterical

i'm not sure about this...

ok. so for those of you who don't know, i'm a twilighter. i'm not sure how it happened, but i know i can't stop.
so naturally when they released the soundtrack info earlier this week, my little heart went thump thump thump. that and the fact that the male lead in this movie proves to be better than a workout sometimes.
i digress, i get off topic when thoughts of rob (swoon) flutter into my head. i'm a sucker.
so, upon scouring the internet i've come up with my own thoughts, mostly on the tracks that made it. i could only find a few of them, but i'm not too sure i'm feeling any.
i love death cab for cutie, i truly do. but this song is just their same old shit hacked a different way and wrapped up in a twilighters dream; some ghosty sounding vocals with a haunted guitar and lilting beat.
i didn't realize you'd need a coffin to listen to it, because for real, i'm sure my pulse stopped half way through. coma inducing!
another crowd pleaser, muse made it on to the album, something i wasn't shocked at all since the queen of all things twilight, ms stephanie meyer has quoted muse as the reason twilight got written. for christsakes woman! pick a better band! super massive black hole was pretty catchy, like 2 years ago. now i have all these teen girls singing 'supa massive black holllllllllllle' in my head every time i hear this song. ruined! (i would like to now point out that overshadowing that image of skanky hot topic dressed tween girls squee-ing in my head i also see jackson rathbone flipping that heavenly bat, looking extremely yum. you had nothing to do with this so i still blame you for all things horrible, sorry) you have single handedly ruined muse for me. thank god they haven't released their 'i belong to you' as their first single off their new album. i'll be forever thankful for that.
being as my patience won out over my need at this point, this is as far as i got into my research. i was disheartened enough by these gems of 'slit-your-wrist-tastic' new moon sing alongs that i'm really unwilling to give the rest a try. hopefully all hope is not lost; last years soundtrack was a hard hitter and i fell in love all over again with iron and wine, not to mention new comers black ghosts and blue foundation. true love is really finding a song that you can moan along to.

enough for now, there's a lab monitor about...

' lay back baby and we'll do this right, there's blankets in back we can use.
we'll start the car but we'll stay in park; the cold can kills us before fumes.
now's a right time for a good song. got something to say what i can't.
do you feel bad, like i feel bad? pour us a road we'll both drink and drive.
kiss me with your cherry lipstick. never wash you off my face.
hit me i can take your cheap shots. leave you with the love we made.
come alive on the driverside, so close i taste your breath.
your lips go dry but they're sweet inside; wine must go right to your head.
it'd be easy if you get mad, but three fingers point back at you.
we can stay here, stay out all night. no one will know, us and the moonlight.
kiss me with your cherry lipstick, never was you off my face.
hit me i can take you cheap shots. leave you with the love we made.
i set my watch by streetside clock, a needle in echo groove.
you pierce my heart like a willing arm, your ticking makes my blood move.
there's no way out, this fade out. be happy to get what you do.
make him notice with both fists because quitting alone will never get you dry.
give me everything you've got now, i don't feel a single thing.
drive me out into the cold rain, let it hover over me.
kiss me with your cherry lipstick, never wash you off my face.
hit me i can take your cheap shots. leave you with the love we made... '

' i will promise myself i won't care distracting myself in your stare
and i've seen this mistake once before with your games i will never fall for
i've hung up guns-- i won't kill again
i won't forget you. i'm not going to let you win
but i'm tired of the lying; tired of fighting
no, and it's not going to change
you ask for my heart; you know that i'm down
but not the way you lie to me you tear it all apart and beg for me to stay
i've sailed off to sea-- i'm not coming back
i won't forget you. i'm not going to let you win
but i'm tired of the lying; tired of fighting
oh and it's not going to change
counting down, make that sound
when you know it makes no sense
counting down till you mess around
and i know you can't ever change
when i'm trembling, thrown overboard
when i'm ready to relive the past
counting down, make that sound
break the silence
pretend it's not forever i'll pull myself together
i'll say that i'll forget her i'll breathe
and i'll say she never hurt me and
look at it as learning and
laugh about the good and the bad
because i won't live forever; we don't belong together
i know i'll feel better one day when i can make it through
i won't forget you. i'm not gonna let you win
but i'm tired of the lying; tired of the fighting
and it's not going to change '

'...living isn't quite the same you said to me, it's running away. if you're scared or tired of what you're scared of, why should you stay? you love to say goodbye and always counted all the time 'til he was free to get up and leave to learn how to breathe again... slippin' out to have a cigarette with someone else that he'd never met; ask her if by the way would you like to run away and try to forget. just not to stay to leave without saying why. to get up and go. to catch the last train. to get in some car and drive out again. to never come back this way. left to say: goodbye; so long; farewell; au revior...'
