okay so i totally hate valentine's day. i think it's lame, and well it always sucks, so i hate it.
but... i'm a sucker for love songs. huuuuge sucker. so my recommendation for this month (read: this week... don't get ahead of yourselves-- this is a shit pick) is drum roll please:
glee's silly little love songs album.
go ahead, laugh. barf. delete me. I STAND BY WHAT I JUST SAID. i kind of melt everytime i hear corey monteith sing bruno mars' 'i think i wanna marry you'. i know, it's not part of the episode i'm talking about, but holy fuck just do as i say and don't fucking give me lip!
i also get chills when he does the spoken part of thriller. but i think that's more because i want corey monteith to do far dirtier things to me than give me chills.
on the listening gag fest, you're going to get katy perry's (vomit inducing) fireworks sung by lea michelle (gag me with a spoon), queen's fat bottomed girls (performed by mark sailing... not sure how i feel about this), paul mccartney's silly little love songs (performed by the warblers. so excited for this), the zombies she's not there (ohhh corey, i will be there. trust), michael jackson's p.y.t (artie is so cool), my funny valentine (go tina!) and robin thicke's (one word comes to mind when i think of all of his songs: sex) when i get you alone, to be sung to kurt (my ovaries exploded with darren criss glee, no pun intended).
i also have my own playlist, courtesy of the day i hate. i've filled it with all of my lovely, happy suggestions for the couple (or bitter, lonely spinster like myself) to listen to while sipping some bubbly and eating chocolates. its got some love, some beats and a whole lotta rhythm for those boys and girls that think slamming your pelvis up against another repeatedly is enjoyable for anyone. so just let your hips follow rhythm.
