 hey there. 

can you tell i'm avoiding doing the things that i'm supposed to be doing (like writing endless report cards)? 

it's been a hot fucking minute since i've been here. three years, almost. so let's catch up, my internet void.

things have certainly changed. i got covid once more, almost a year exactly after the first time. it sucked since i was on full quarantine, but thankfully my parents also got it at the same time so i found refuge in my childhood bedroom. 

i resigned from my position as a teacher for a small school out on a reservation and came into the city where i've found middling success still as a teacher but of a higher grade and of like, 5 times as many students. but hopefully i can one day leave the classroom for something more fun like policy study in the downtown office or something equally tedious (to everyone but me).

i found another cat. she was a tiny kitten hanging out at the agricultural complex near my old job, running around wooded bleachers and avoiding being trampled by horses. she's a menace to society and my furniture but so stinkin' cute. verified stinker, verified to steal yo girl. 

mr ffh and i are buying a house! no more apartment dwelling for this hipster. every hipster needs to grow up, i suppose. i'll miss my ability to walk to the nearest bakery for some fresh croissants, however. the suburbs make me sad but we can't afford any of the houses in the inner city. 

i think that's the last three years summarized. i'm not the most interesting human and yet i blog as though i am? 

anyhow. while i continue to be distracted from doing the task that's due on monday (it's now 7:30 on a saturday), the current list. it's triple the length to make up for 3 years of absence. 

i suck, but you already knew this.
