lyrical fitness...

in the twilight glow i see blue eyes crying in the rain.
when we kissed goodbye and parted i knew we'd never meet again.
love is like a dying ember-- only memories remain.
and through the ages i'll remember blue eyes crying in the rain.
some day when we meet up yonder, we'll stroll hand in hand again.
in a land that knows no parting; blue eyes crying in the rain.
now my hair has turned to silver, all my life i've loved in vain.
i can see her star in heaven.
blue eyes crying in the rain.

-- a/n: i first listened to this song right after my friend died in a car accident while he was on vacation. it seemed ironic: i have blue eyes, it was raining when he died, he loved country music and when we parted the day before everyone left a part of me knew i'd never see him again. so i fell in love with this song almost instantly, and forever. it helped, since i know we'll meet up again someday.
